Eligible non-profit organizations are invited to apply for one or both of the following grants:

  • Annual Grants: One-time distribution of $7,500. Six Annual Grants will be awarded in 2024.

  • Impact Grant: Three-year grant with an annual distribution of $15,000 for a total of $45,000 during the grant term. One eligible non-profit will be chosen for an Impact Grant each year.

To apply:

  1. Complete the Minnesota Common Grant Application Form

  2. Include cover letter explaining the dollar amount requested and the project description

  3. For the Impact Grant, also complete Impact Grant Questionnaire. You may apply for both the Annual and Impact Grant, however you can only be selected for one.

Applicants will be notified of the funding decision by the end of May.

Elligibility:

To support the mission of the MAR Foundation, at least 5% of its net investment assets are distributed annually to non-profit organizations that provide housing and housing-related programs and services to low income individuals and families within the jurisdiction of the Minneapolis Area REALTORS®. Grant funds must be used within the association’s jurisdiction of Hennepin, Carver, McLeod, Sibley and Scott Counties in Minnesota.

Eligible programs and services include: 

  • Emergency shelter or short-term housing

  • Supportive or transitional housing program

  • Homeownership program for underserved communities

  • Housing service: Counseling, education, financial assistance, and resources

Application must clearly state how the funds will be used.

Grants are restricted to private non-profit organizations for purposes defined under section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Code.
